Boys are going with their grandparents to the beach for three days

First time they have both been away from home without us for more than a night

We’ve been to weekend weddings away from the kids for 2/3 days and I constantly check in to see how they’re doing and my wife slaps me and forces me to enjoy my time 😂

You make a good point, my mother wants to take them to their camp for a couple days this summer and my wife isn’t loving the idea, but we have no problem going away for a weekend as my mother watches them at my house. What a mind fuck that is, comfort zone I suppose

We’ve been away from them, but them leaving home somehow feels different!
