A couple of disclaimers (especially for musicians): teia.cafe only indexes Hic et Nunc and TEIA audio mints. This means that video and audio-integrated formats, mints from objkt or other platforms will not show up there. (We'll expand when we have have more support to do so.) But this is what actually makes this collections of works interesting...it's from a specific era, from a specific community, back when the hype was real. We're currently working on bringing back the playlist contract, wallet feeds, purchase buttons and curation/referral links, integration with @TeiaCommunity's copyright features, and several features that used to be in v1 - this time more streamlined. In a few months we'll have something very nice, I think. 😁

Hey folks, we just did an overhaul to teia.cafe's API this week - it's fully integrated with TEIA's local API so the feeds should be much higher quality now. Mainly - that all the tracks from from the HEN Radio days should all be in there. There's a lot of great music in there still undiscovered so I would highly recommend using the random 🎲 mode and just go through what's there. It's part of Tezos' history, after all. There's a few bugs in there that we're aware of that will get fixed soon but mainly wanted to get feedback on the quality of feed itself. Good times? We're hoping to build a lot of features on this collection of music, after all.

I've been crypto longer than I can remember at this point but I never identified as a degen or punk - those are terms that came later. In fact, I honestly believe that people who believe in *real* decentralization are the superior class of human beings in existence right now. 💪 I've honestly annoyed a lot of people by talking that way but I'm at least confident in where I stand - and it's not really discrimination because choosing to believe in the distribution of power (and civility) is a choice, not a trait. So anyway - I'd like to see crypto people stop beating themselves up with these self-defacing slurs and believe in what they're doing more. That's what normies are waiting for - especially as the world continues to fall apart. Lead the way, weirdos - don't fall back! 🦄⚔️

Over the next year, teia.cafe will be focusing on building features that *I* will use. Rather than trying to guess what people want, I figure it'd be better to build something I'd use anyway and if others want to use it too, so be it. This includes: - A radio app with playlisting that I can use day to day (music on #Tezos is great!). - A blogging platform that integrates text minting and copyright protections in a streamlined way. - Messaging my friends directly through their wallet using on-chain messaging. (Comments too) The app isn't quite ready yet but the smart contracts are already done so it shouldn't take too long to do. (Famous last words, but - this is for real. The bulk of the work over the last few years was that.) So close, yet so far. Web3 infra is no joke. But it's getting there. 🙏

We got almost 100 submissions for Tezcon this year - a mix of artists, sponsors, tech people and just random people who see themselves as "forward looking". The Tezos community is relatively small compared to other ecosystems but they do show up when needed. That makes all the difference in the world, really. 🔥

It's noon over here in Seattle - I would highly recommend people submit their entries by tonight since we have our meeting Friday morning and that will likely be the cut-off point. Hey folks - after a few bug fixes, the beta version of @teiacommunity's copyright registration system is now up and running. We'll probably run it for a month or two before merging it to the main site but the preview is up and running! https://preview.teia.art/copyright Note that this is running on mainnet already so everything you do here will be permanently on-chain. Some of the parents you meet in Tezos can be pretty intense - "These are the kinds of people I want my kids to be around!" Whoa there, nobody agreed to that kind of thing, mate. 😂 I guess trust and diligence is in short supply these days. And XTZ is probably the only place online right now where that is actually demonstrably true - people are actually using the blockchain as intended: transparency and accountability. The ones that are faking it are exactly the types of people you don't want to be around anyway. It's perfectly fine for our bubble to get smaller (at least for now) imo.
