The Trump admin is building a police/surveillance state and the right is cheering it on. I guess they don’t realize that after all the immigrants are gone, those feds are just going to redirect their attention towards Americans. 

We’re cooked. Hard not to want to just give up.

Beyond just pointing out the obvious that this isn’t unique to Trump at all, I don’t really see a US president/government that’s willing or able to respect civil rights in this way

I don’t know if it’s even a matter of rebooting the government, I think it’s beyond that, the technological capabilities are so high and people care so little that they’ll just try to fly under the radar enough and hope they’re not affected by it, even if they’re aware of it
