Today I went to the inspection for the house I’m about to buy and I just wanted to stay inside but I had to leave when the inspector left and just let me back in already

hahaha, uuurgh. but also so exciting! when can you actually move in?

Well we gotta get em to fix a bunch of stuff and negotiate all that cause the house is 60 years old and needs help. But realistically if everything goes right October 1st.

oh god dude you have to see this neighbourhood I live in, most of the houses were built 100 years ago, there's always going to be something wrong with something.

I lived in a 100 year old building for 20 years although it was only like 85 when I moved in but that building was made of stone and plaster and this one is made of wood and brick and the electrical system looks like something from Fallout.

Hopefully the electrician will say it’s fine or at least affordable to fix so we can get the house

hahaha holy shit, it really is fallout aesthetic. dude the dodgy electrical meets wood is terrifying. we had a live wire under the floorboards in the current house we are renting. no one bothered to disconnect it 🤷‍♀️ it was just sparking like lightning, you could see it through the floorboards. eventually the landlord was like, kay we should probably fix that 🙄 but hence also buying our own house.
