Judged the Base x XMTP hackathon this week. Biggest takeaway: accessible UI is the difference between a good project and a great one. You can build the most advanced agent system out there, but if users can’t immediately tell what’s going on, it’s a hard sell.

Chat is also such an interesting interface to bulld on. It’s the most personal medium in social apps. Lots of cool stuff on the way from the new CBW👀

do you feel like CBW x XMTP gives good UX building blocks for this and then it's up to the agent product team? Would love to see any design patterns you like posted in /ai-interfaces too!

Hmm I think it’s really tough to build good ux inside of a chat interface. I believe we’ve done the best. I think the next thing is being able to interact and use miniapps in the chat. Almost like game pígeon on iPhone! Have you tried the chat in the Coinbase beta? Would love to get your feedback.

Oh AI getting to generate mini apps within XTMP/CBW is a really interesting design space I didn’t consider. I’m in the beta but it’s still not at feature parity (notifications) to be my daily driver.

Ok that fixed it. Had assumed over the air updates but you probably had new dependencies for this. Now my feed doesn’t load

I generally live in fear of updating coinbase wallet because I use it as a wallet and the updates tend to make it worse
