I think the fraken-kelp phrasing implies a heavy bias against this but like everything in the world all of this comes down to context. 
What are the plans for the kelp? 
What is the deployment strategy? 
Is it actually a real concern of this adaptation getting out or is it nebulously bad? 
Will climate pressures force this adoption or force extinction risk?

Additionally where is the funding for the research coming from an are there commercial interests involved in making this an industrially harvestable crop? 

Basically saying we made GMO kelp doesn't really mean much on its own apart from being a cool fact.


All that said I love the content and don't want to discourage you but rather share with you a frame that might provide interesting rabbit holes to dig into to add more context to the content (although it might make it perform worse so you do you 😁)
