BlackRock's bitcoin ETF, IBIT, hit $70B in assets in just 341 days. Fastest ever, beating GLD's record by 5x (took 1691 days). GLD is the top gold ETF, launched in 2004 with $100B assets. IBIT launched Jan 2024, now holds 2.8% of bitcoin supply. BlackRock manages it for clients but doesn't own the crypto.
