We make crypto way too complicated for the average individual to understand.

I think the focus was wrong. You don't need to explain the technology to be used, but make it consumable. And we are at that phase now. It's getting easier to use a crypto app in the past months.

I struggle with the passkey point honestly. On the one hand people don't know what it means, but on the other mainstream services (Google, Github, Amazon etc) do actually refer to it as passkeys.

I think they chose it because of the semantic similarity to password and passphrases but I also think it's not that clear. Brute repeating it into people's consciousness might eventually work though--or that's the hope 🔨

Yeah. The route we took is to call it passkey, but to add a recognizable faceID/touchID logo next to it for clarity

@itai agree with both here. I had a call last week with our designers to implement it and he also struggled with the passkey concept
