I remember flying with my daughter when she was 3, she couldn't get over the idea that we were sitting and eating in the sky.

you might find better results searching for "cabin pressurization" basically the air inside the airplane is made extra dense to allow us to feel normal like at sea level vs the air outside the plane while in flight is less dense with less oxygen and harder for us to breath like how people wear oxygen on mount everest
