I was talking to someone who wanted to create a coin recently and they said “ I want it on a real chain like bitcoin or solana, not ethereum”

Surely EF has a plan but I kinda think it’s not world computer anymore

This is crazy to me. Maybe I'm out of touch. But I've been working on Solana for the last few months and have been unpleasantly surprised. The fast finality and centralisation is maybe the best feature - which is in itself questionable

For sure. Worth mentioning one of the most popular apps of last year was enabled by sol (pump) and probably would have sucked on eth. Still, I think this chart means something too, for now

yes i agree that the speed/centralization/demographics helped enable pump and even the l2 evm launchpads often operate differently
i feel like this chart is gonna look very different overnight if the us banks do the stable coins as is being discussed with that law for them to do it whatever chain they choose to have their coins on nfa
