the original idea was to use the high quality prints from the louvre shop and overprint the liquidity layer txs in multiple passes of green and red until they blend to black and completely cover the original print

today was a prototype session to see how the paper used by the louvre's print shop holds up with that much ink applied

unfortunately it started to warp after just a few passes so we're exploring other options

which will likely be printing our own mona lisa images on a thicker stock that can handle the amount of ink needed to completely cover it

i think that'll end up creating an even better output, even if it's not as conceptually pure as printing over a print from the louvre shop

the finished product will be a limited run of 21 prints

gifted to full set collectors of the "layers" extension collection 

with the remaining available to anyone, with a burn of liquidity layer tokens ofc (burn amount tbd)
