The CFTC says a court fined My Big Coin scammers $25M. Mark Gillespie, John Roche, and their companies must pay $19.3M in penalties and $6.4M in restitution. They tricked 28 investors with fake "gold-backed" claims from 2014-2017, stealing over $6M. Main culprit Randall Crater got 100 months in prison. The CFTC warns recovering stolen funds isn’t guaranteed.
