ok so I’m seeing that a counter argument is that the money part of crypto is not the leading argument anymore, but it’s the backend tech that will allow for a democratic internet. I’m all for that, but here I am trying to set up a Coinbase wallet and I want to blow my brains out. 

After jumping through every hoop successfully now it says “something went wrong” and to make sure I have the most updated version. I do. Shoot me.

And that's the number one biggest gripe I have about crypto products right now: the UX is dogshit. It's also the reason why I decided to pursue UX design as a career.

I think the issue stems from the fact that most crypto people are techies/devs and have a unique tolerance for terrible UX.
