I try not to post too much about legislation, but this one hits close to home. The House just passed a bill that could make it even harder for seniors to access care. My 82-year-old dad recently had to wait for urgent treatment because the only radiologist who could help him was out of network on his Medicare plan. It was scary, and we only got through it by fighting a mountain of red tape. Now, with new changes to Medicaid and Medicare headed to the Senate, I’m honestly worried about what comes next. If it’s already this hard for seniors to get the care they need, what happens when the rules get even stricter? Anyone else navigating this maze for an older parent or loved one?

The "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" (H.R.1, 119th Congress). As described by current law makers: It introduces significant changes to Medicaid and Medicare, aiming to reduce federal spending and reshape program structures.
