@rep-hq
Got a lot of DMs lately like:
“can I mint REP ranks already?”
“when does it actually start?”
So, to clarify the situation: ranks are already available for minting.
And that timing matters more than people think.
----------
What a rank actually represents:
• your onchain footprint (txs, assets, activity)
• your social graph (who you’re connected to, who trusts you)
• your position relative to everyone else, not an absolute score
As more people join, holding or climbing becomes harder
----------
Why minting early is important:
• fewer participants = less dilution
• your baseline is locked before the crowd arrives
Once demand spikes, you’re not “early but late” - you’re just late.
----------
How the meta usually plays out:
phase 1: nobody cares, ranks look boring
phase 2: builders + power users start minting
phase 3: people realize reputation = access
phase 4: everyone rushes in, edge is gone
We’re still between phase 1 and 2.
----------
The mistake most people make:
waiting for “confirmation”
waiting for “utility”
waiting until it’s obvious
By the time it’s obvious, it’s already priced in socially.
Once ranks are live, attention shifts fast.
