i studied classical guitar in Austria during my junior year of college. i took some time away from wrestling, because i wanted to experience something new and see the world
i only knew one song by Bach, and showed up with a steel string guitar (not classical w/ nylon strings like i needed)
my instructor played it, and laughed, recommending that i, at the very least, rent a classical guitar
i went around to every shop in the city i could find, exploring, learning, and hearing about the different types of classical guitars
i found out about this brand Armin Hanika and went to a store called Klangfarbe which had the Armin Hanika 54 PF i was looking for
i bought the guitar and played it for my classical concert, all my lessons, and even traveling across the country.
every time i play it, it reminds me of meeting my guitar instructor for the first time. traveling around Austria. almost getting in a fight with Austrian TSA when they tried to check the guitar (still not sure how i got away with this)
this guitar represents a place and time in my life 1 reply
