Yesterday while waiting for a bridge and maneuvering to stay in place I unfortunately picked up a stray robe and it got caught in my drive system. Motor instantly stalled. I was very lucky some nice people nearby quickly noticed and got on their boat to tie it to mine and help me get to a safe place. Quickly got on a swim short and jumped in to try and cut everything free. It took about 20 minutes and I learned that I need to work on keeping my breath lol. But I got all the robe out of the shaft and prop, and things seems to work fine again. Very happy with the outcome because I was quite worried of a bit. Insurance would have likely covered costs, but I just don’t want to be without my boat.

A robe? Like, some clothing? Or does it mean something different in that context?
