not disputing that at all. I am just there is zero advantage in keeping your asset (NFT in this case), locked up in a contract for one week

agree with the first part lol. waiting time matters, esp in crypto. absolutely zero advantage to have your assets locked up in a contract and take risk without any yield/rewards. in a world of instant finality, 7 days wait is infinity

Arbitrage, culture (blockchain norms) and NFTs on Ethereum Network still lead so far (Ordinals catching up though). 7 days wait time just closes is a big red flag. What if the contract gets hacked/exploited during this

so essentially L1 NFT will be locked in a contract while its clone will be on L2. When bridged back, L2 NFT will be locked in a contract and the original L1 NFT released from the locked contract
