so essentially L1 NFT will be locked in a contract while its clone will be on L2. When bridged back, L2 NFT will be locked in a contract and the original L1 NFT released from the locked contract

well apparently it takes 7 days so completely useless for now. Hopefully will be instant/couple of minutes in the future

What would be the need to bring it back to Ethereum so quickly? The Superchain should provide most, if not all, of the required features for a growing NFT collection. Specifically buying and selling with lower gas fees.

Arbitrage, culture (blockchain norms) and NFTs on Ethereum Network still lead so far (Ordinals catching up though). 7 days wait time just closes is a big red flag. What if the contract gets hacked/exploited during this

if a contract gets hacks you're kinda screwed either way lol whether it's a 7 day waiting period or instant, it probably won't make too much of a difference that point.
