Lava Lamps vs. Quantum Chips -------------------- Cloudflare literally uses a wall of lava lamps to power randomness for encryption. The blobs’ chaotic motion is captured by cameras and used to generate cryptographic keys. It’s called the “Wall of Entropy.” Now Microsoft just dropped the Majorana 1 quantum chip—a serious leap toward breaking today’s encryption.
