great question. pinterest? Ben Silberman came from a product/sales background if i recall right. although he is technical i guess.

That and taste is subjective. For its time it def was classy. Bits is the substrate for technology so it’s hard to build digital experiences with neither of those backgrounds, not by schooling but in practice.
