good thread, and @androidsixteen.eth is right - make the app good enough, bring people over here, consume their content if you're here, and well, let's see if they bring others onboard too. the whole idea is there must be a reason to not leave the app - they have to stick around. they need stuff they like here

I think there is a subtle difference between a social network and a social media app. farcaster is closer to a social network than a social media app. probably one of the last few barring maybe Facebook and WhatsApp/TG/Discord

agreed, there is a subtle difference - what i meant was that we need the basics of a successful social network. text, photos, videos (!). sorry i just said app! 100% this is a social network. but we also get "app updates", that make it even more social, e.g. would be nice if you have 10k casts to also be able to bold text
