obsidian is great for storing information but it’s lacking in the quantitative data department. Sometimes I want to read and write structured data e.g. for a budget, or an experiment, or more detailed lists. I’ve tried all the csv plugins and they’re all broken and no longer supported.

markdown tables don’t have enough functionality for these kinds of use cases

I’ve had a brief look at it before but have found that it’s too feature rich for my purposes. I really just want barebones spreadsheet functionality.
