Just finished You Look Like a Thing and I Love You by Janelle Shane. Shane uses funny examples from her work as an AI researcher to explain core AI concepts, illustrate how it shapes our everyday lives, and illuminate the good, bad, and ugly sides of AI. Recommend to anyone who wants a fun and approachable AI primer.

I’m an AI newbie but I’ve been reading a lot of intro-ish AI books and still found a lot of the material relevant and helpful - eg how General Adversarial Networks (GANs) work
