I moved back to LA around this time last year. No place to stay - just being obedient to God. At the beginning of the year I signed a lease on my first solo apartment - I was so excited and proud. I adopted my dog, Hugo, and got settled in. A month later my Dad died unexpectedly. I’ll never forget that devastating phone call from my brother - reality shattered in an instant. I broke my lease and moved back home to Michigan to help with my family. It was hard and part of me didn’t want to leave LA - but I knew what I had to do. Family is a non negotiable for me. So now I’m home, $20k in debt, working for Boys and Girls Club, and most importantly - showing up for my family. Tbh I’m grieving that life and idk how any of this is going to play out. It’s the most difficult season I’ve ever been in. But I trust God. Left foot, right foot - in the name of Jesus 🙏🏾
