One one hand, this doesn't fit my taste, and it looks like a bunch of crap stuck on a $30 t-display (it is). The maker in me cringes at the unenclosed PCB, and at the vulgarity of slapping rudimentary adornment onto commodity hardware, then marketing someone else's industrial engineering like it's an original fine art project. Too "cyberpunk cargo cult" for me personally. On the other hand, I really like programmable media and hope that people keep doing experiments like this. AI tools and cheap hardware primitives are making this type of art accessible where only niche weirdos were playing before. I hope that more people do cool artuino stuff, and that we look back on these things as forerunners of new forms of expression, rather than yet more inflation from chips jammed into everyday goods.
