As a kid, I dreamed of being an archaeologist. History fascinated me (still does). Exploring jungle temples and tombs sounded thrilling. At 13, I devoured Greek and Roman history books and chatted with my history teacher. Basically, I was obsessed. The post "The Ultimate Guide to Visiting Pompeii" is on Nomadic Matt's Travel Site.
