Even ordinary situations are made memorable by the enchantment of summer. I visited a charming beach village in Carolina a few years ago with three close friends. In order to catch sunrises, we got up early and hired a comfortable cabin close to the beach. We attempted surfing one day under the guidance of a gregarious teacher named Jake, who made the experience one to remember.
