@ramsey
Appreciation cast.
So the morning after this, I woke up, started preparing the house for guests for the season. Setting all the streaming channels, cleaning the grill (fat deposits from far below kept burning up and ruining the grilling experience), checking the smoke and CO2 detectors, installing a solar powered light for the parking, key box, some other minor things and tweaks. I was done rather quickly and was happy about myself. Made BQ for the family and was ready to go back home.
We pack up and start the ride. I hear a strange sound. Flat tire. Caught a nail on the front left one, and was done. Compressor pumps it up for a short while, but nothing I want to gamble my kids lives on. No mechanic around that's working bcs it's Sunday.
Tow service can drive the car and 2 people back home (180 km). There were 4 of us, including kids. Tow service won't budge bcs we're not on the highway. Go figure.
So I call @shime, who immediately puts aside EVERYTHING, on Sunday, and drives 2 hours there, picks up my wife and kids, and drives them home (another 2 hour drive) while I go with the tow service and the car.
To @shime, my IRL BFF, my longest standing friend, my best man, my person-to-call-when-I-have-to-hide-a-body (theoretically, of course), I love you buddy. Respect.
