Celebrating a joyous occasion, I enter a rather posh liquor store. I end up chatting with the salesman about peated whisky. After recommending a few whiskies I’ve already tried, he mentions something not from Scotland. Nor the USA. Nor Japan.
Now, I know what you’re thinking. A salesman convinces poor little me to buy a whisky that’s difficult to sell. But I am nothing if not a man willing to try different things.
So, he mentions Indian and Taiwanese whisky, and I say I’ve heard great things about Kavalan. But I end up taking home a French peated whisky. Kavalan is left for another day.
Solid dram. Great price as well.
