November to enable us have more time to see family members and show our kids around their mother land. The last time we'd been to Nigeria was in 2021. My husband's younger brother lives in our house to help us maintain it. It was initially him and their elder sister until she got married and moved out in 2021…

Last year my younger sister got admitted to the university of Lagos and moved in.We got to Nigeria on the 22nd of November and the house was ready to welcome us. They'd both done a good job at keeping the house tidy and it even looked better than it had when we left years ago.…

We were really grateful for this and we gifted them the Mac books we'd bought for each of them.l am used to celebrating thanksgiving in the states and even though it isn't usually celebrated in Nigeria, decided to do so and invite our family members. This was to double as a family reunion since everyone wanted to come visit and welcome us back home….

Our house is a two story building with 8 rooms which was more than enough to accommodate everyone. My husband and I stayed in the masters bedroom, our son(Williams) shared a room with my brother in law and while my daughter(Sandra)stayed with my sister till everyone left. Two days to thanksgiving……

we went to the market and bought a bag of rice as well as other things to cook enough food for everyone present. A day to thanksgiving, family members started arriving and it was an emotional day. It felt so good to be back home.We started handing out the gifts we brought for everyone and catching up on things that'd been happening. We made food for the kids to eat before dinner and asked them to come get it from the kitchen.l went to the dinning to see that my husband's uncle(uncle Timothy)sons weren't eating with the others.I asked them why they weren't eating and they said it was because nobody brought food to them…

Puzzled, I pointed out that everyone had gone to get their food themselves from the kitchen where l'd served them on a big tray. These boys then went to the kitchen to get the food grumbling.
