Honestly one of the best things I did was invest time in functional programming, category theory, and type theory. Actually reading a lot on the fundamental computer science and getting into Haskell. The key is to be able to think in the lingua franca, then translate it to the tech stack. Otherwise you may be thinking in domain X without a clear translation to domain Y and it bogs down being able to come up with solutions. Its like learning Latin first, then applying that to other languages.
