THE SEA PARTS TWICE A YEAR It may seem like a myth, but in Korea, the phenomenon of "the sea parting" actually happens - not once, but twice a year, and only lasts for about an hour. It's called the Jindo Miracle - when the ocean opens up a sandy road connecting the mainland of Jindo with Modo Island, more than 2.8 km long and about 40m wide.
