Last year, I posted an update on my dahlias regularly. Might do it again this year? I've got an early flower starting to bloom already! 😍

Dahlias are super cool - we're right on the edge of the zones where they perenialize, I've been trying to grow up some nice looking ones that are on the more hardy end but every year so far they die over the winter.

I totally get it, haha. I couldn't be bothered as well. Although I will dig up the more special variety this year 🤞🏻

I'm going to try mounding leaves on them this year - I can't be bothered to dig up bulbs

I actually gambled and let them stay in the ground last winter, and 2 have died, sadly, but the rest are growing again. Its safer to take them out before it's starting to freeze, I guess 🙈
