What's the best compact camera these days? I have a very nice camera that I use a lot, but I also need something that I can pocket that ISN'T my iPhone. Thinking Ricoh GR but idk. Fujifilm x-half was very interesting but feels like a gimmick

The new x-E5 w/23mm is basically the x100vi with an interchangeable lens, but I'm skeptical. I have the gfx100rf and love it but don't want to get too brand committed either I also hear the slightly older x100(s) have kinda shit AF

yeah i have the x100s from 2013 lmao, the nice thing about the brand new x100 is IBIS which is what the AF is better, if youβre looking for interchangeable lens i have a fond place in my heart for the sony a6100

Not committed to the interchangeable lens - I sort of glossed over the reason I mentioned the X-E5 is that preorders are open rn, vs the x100vi still being on back order. Also should mention that bc of the Gfx, I'm very open to older/used cameras if they're workhorses But a6100 I haven't looked into yet, and I hear very good things about Sony's video capabilities. Haven't looked at that specific model, so it's on the list now!
