The Job Interview Mix-Up: A woman goes for a job interview at a fancy tech company. She’s nervous but prepared, with her resume polished and answers rehearsed. The interviewer, looking confused, asks, "So, tell me about your experience training dolphins." She blinks and says, "Uh, I’m here for the software engineer position." Turns out, the company’s hiring for two roles, and the receptionist sent her to the wrong room. She decides to roll with it, saying, "Well, I’ve never trained dolphins, but I’m great at debugging code, which is like teaching fish to swim in straight lines." The interviewer laughs so hard he offers her the tech job on the spot, saying, "Anyone who can pivot like that belongs here."

i won’t competing this year i have dedicated the past 10 years of my life to athletics, sacrificed alot, moved countries and cities, struggled with injury for the past two years and had multiple surgeries and have missed out on the past 2 olympics by small margin TWICE this lead to burn out and a decline in my mental health which is why i moved away from the national training centre last year when i went to south africa in jan i had a pretty awful time i was having daily panic attacks and my training was a mess, partly because of my grandad being in hospital and also because i just wasn’t feeling right i spoke to my coach and head of british athletics and we all agreed it’s best for my mental and physical health to finally…for the first time take a year off i’m still aiming for LA 2028 and i have many championships next year which i look forward to but for now i am going to experience LIVING and HEALING physically and mentally to make sure i can make my olympic dream a reality

Some thoughts on spam on Farcaster and how we tackle it. First question - What is spam? The naive answer is "automated activity" but this isn't right. Over 75% of spam we find comes from real humans who have phones, wallets and x accounts. The best definition is "inauthentic activity". It's that feeling you get when you realize that someone who is following, liking or replying to is doing it to benefit themselves and not because they're interested in you.

I’ve read terrifying accounts of sleep paralysis and the attendant feelings of oppression and supernatural presence they elicit. Thankfully, I’ve never experienced it. What I have experienced, on the other hand, is waking up in the dark and —for a short while— having zero recollection of where I am. The bed is unfamiliar, the room is strange, my muscle memory is helpless at locating the light switch, etc. The feeling of disorientation and vulnerability is unsettling. Though that’s just coming from traveling all the time and staying at so many hotels that they just become a forgettable blur at some point
