I tipped almost 200 unique FIDs, and idk how many unique ones tipped me, but still free money I’d free money, because I don’t consider the ammount of $push I tipped as an investment.

I would’ve done it regardless of the airdrop, and most mfers here are not on the same page and you know it

I don't know how to look at it.
On the one hand a lot of people tipped because of the promise of airdrop.
It's good for the ecosystem, for the people in it.

On the other hand, airdrop is free money.
Probably the most pleasant airdrop is when you don't expect it but you get it, it's like degen, I used to tip when it cost nothing, it was fun, and then suddenly I could tip 300-400$ a day.

Now a lot of people tipped their money and waited for the promised "cashback" and I feel a little bad for those who got nothing.

I guess there is no perfect option...

Doing it just because you will get airdropped is the worst mentality bias you can have, this is now why we built.

Building is always admirable, but building on an empty stomach is something not everyone can afford. I try to look at the situation from a broader perspective, imagining how it would be if I just came to onchain and tried to figure things out from scratch.

I really like the logic: you live here, work, create — and get rewarded. But still, to truly invest and support others, you need at least some startup capital. Not everyone has it, and that’s an objective reality.

For example, I can easily spend 10-12 hours developing, communicating, and creating something new, but my budget isn’t infinite - it might last only about two years of such activity.

I always prefer quality over quantity, but if we want to onboard a billion people, we need to consider that not everyone can immediately “spend from their own pocket.” For many, it’s important that their contribution is somehow rewarded - this is not about greed, but about basic motivation and survival.

In the end, building for the idea is cool and inspiring, but mass adoption is impossible without taking into account the real needs and limitations of people.

But on the other hand people use web2 social networks and just for fun and it's still worth it to get people away from the idea that they come here just for money, but this should somehow pass with time.
