Louisiana produces so much natural wealth from resources(Oil,LNG) on top of our agricultural output. Gives out 45-75 billion dollars in subsidies( they are giving them to Data centers too)
But also
Almost 19% of the state is below the poverty line
Is the 5th highest cancer rate in America( thanks to goverment subsidized projects that created cancer alley, among others)
43% of its citizens are on Medicaid
Go look at West Virginia or Kentucky, How much coal was taken out them hills? Do you think all that wealth extracted helped develop things so the life of the average citizen would be good? That area is an economic and environmental disaster driven by these large corporations.
Ai companies thinking they are just going to walk into these rural communities and be welcome like this, show's an amazing and hilarious amount of short sightedness
