my advice to anyone new to farcaster would be get in a group chat as fast as you can 

the feed is bad at connecting people without followers to people with lots of them, but group chats are different

post opinions, share what you are working on. be authoritative about what you know and curious about what you don't

this costs almost nothing (paragraph is free, lots of /fabric subscriptions that come with group chats are .005 ETH a month. I recommend @yb /onchainletters because you'll read a lot about the network, and the group chat has great people.

the network is small but LOUD and hard to navigate, there is tons of low effort farming going on. doing anything higher effort will quickly set you apart from that, so immediately start contributing to the network, it needs you.
