toof pupdate:

our veterinary dentist called us today and said they have a last min cancellation tmrw so they’re gonna get us in for our consult tmrw instead of 7/24!!

it is *just* the consult and we’ll need to schedule an xray and then the actual procedure after that but still great news that we can get this process going 2 months earlier than we anticipated 🦷

apologies for not posting a toof pupdate in almost 2 weeks 🦷

our visit with the veterinary dentist went well - the clinic was super nice and accommodating and tried to make toby’s visit as comfy as possible

the dentist said it’s possible toby will be a candidate for a root canal but can’t be sure until he takes an x-ray to see clearer

since he’ll need to be put under general anesthesia for that, we’ll first need to get some bloodwork done for toby to make sure he’s healthy enough for it (scheduled for 6/26) and then our x-ray and procedure are scheduled for 7/9 at 8:30am

i’ll be sticking around the vet office all day so i’ll be right there in case toby needs me but it sounds like a pretty standard procedure that they’ve got nailed down really well

they also gave me some anxiety meds to give him beforehand which they said will put him 1-2 margaritas deep so that should help make it all a bit less scary for him too

will post another update after 7/9!

we need to see toby slurping on a dog friendly espresso martini after all his tooth situations are sorted
