Most healthcare systems have their flaws, but I still prefer the Indian healthcare system. You don’t have to wait weeks for an appointment, and the costs are clear and upfront—no hidden fees or surprise bills months later. When I gave birth in the U.S., I was still dealing with the hospital bill 9–10 months after my baby was born. They initially charged me $80,000 for a four-day hospital stay. And this was with a “good” insurance plan and high premiums. After countless hours on the phone with the hospital billing department and my insurance provider, they finally admitted it was fully covered 😤 That time and energy should have gone toward bonding with my newborn—not dealing with the bills. Sometimes, the U.S. healthcare system honestly feels like a scam.

It’s so frustrating and stressful. Nobody should deal with that kind of stress after paying such high premiums especially new moms. You’ve probably seen me talking to them on the phone for hours.
