Eigen offers shared security with Ethereum has usually meant financial value locked (tvs) to me -- but it seems to be more about the security that comes from deploying in a space where operators and developers are constantly supporting new ideas

- not just ethereum but other protocols too - stakers and operators provide security - security is used by AVSs (autonomous verifiable services) and apps that's the four-sided marketplace current stats: https://economy.eigenlayer.xyz/
