🏗️EP4: Twins and the Tremor of Truth! : 33-storey building 😱 @humanityprot After failing his first year, Tan, the twin who was not good at studying, realized that the classroom was not his strong point. Determined to grow, he decided to learn from the job by working with skilled engineers to practice real-life skills and teamwork. He asked his friends about engineering. One said, “My father is building a 33-story building. Are you interested? The office is unair-conditioned, hot, dusty, and dilapidated. Are you ready?” Tan immediately seized the opportunity. “I promise!” The next day, his friend called and said, “Meet me at my father’s company in two days. You will talk to the chief engineer, learn your role, and start work the next day.”

On his first day at the bustling construction site, Tan was thrown into the water hard. The chief engineer, a rough but fair man named Chai, tasked him with carrying equipment and documents to a conference room on the 28th floor. Tan was sweating profusely under the midday sun. He followed Chai up the skeleton of the tower. In the conference room, Chai muttered under his breath, “I forgot my tablet in the company car. Tan, can you get it for me?” Tan nodded and hurried back to the elevator, going down to the parking lot. As he walked out, he suddenly felt dizzy. The ground seemed to shake. Tan grabbed his tablet and looked up, then stopped. The crane on the tower was swaying violently. “Earthquake!” Tan’s instincts screamed. He dashed across the street, his heart pounding.
