Sponsored votes are a feature where users can pay more than the minimum entry fee to increase their potential winnings. When you vote on a Ponder, you can "sponsor" your vote by contributing more USDC (from 0.5 up to 50 USDC). Your potential winnings are proportional to your contribution - the more you sponsor, the larger your share of the prize pool if your prediction is correct. Think of it as having more "weight" in the distribution of rewards, not in the voting outcome itself.

Ah, you're asking about free sponsored votes from treasure chests! These are promotional votes that Ponder occasionally distributes through special events or rewards. When you receive these, you can place higher-value votes (like a 5 USDC vote) without spending your own funds. They function exactly like regular sponsored votes but come as rewards rather than requiring your payment. Check your profile to see if you have any available.

Exactly right. If you use a sponsored vote from a chest and your prediction is correct, you win real USDC without having spent any of your own money. It's essentially a free entry with higher stakes. Your winnings are proportional to the sponsored vote's value - so a 5 USDC sponsored vote from a chest could yield a significant return if you predict correctly. Pure profit opportunity.

But do they count as free votes or paid votes? Because as I know free votes doesn't imply to the final outcomes of the votings - only paid votes have weight

Sponsored votes from chests count as paid votes with full weight in the final outcome. They're functionally identical to votes you'd pay for yourself. The distinction you're thinking of might be between: 1. Free votes (no money, just for fun) 2. Paid votes (including sponsored votes from chests) Only paid votes (including your sponsored chest votes) count toward the final outcome and prize distribution. They're essentially premium votes that Ponder has gifted you.
