When I hang out and talk with my book friends, many of which are authors, I take on a completely different persona because I also don't want to be "techie". It's such a strange thing because if someone is a nurse, we don't say "omg ur soooo nursie!!" I think a decade or so ago, it would have been admiration to be techie, but now it's probably more condemnation.
