Dia seems about two years behind on AI application. Their marketing messaging is heavily skewed towards people using it to make their writing better. People have been doing that for years now, and AI can do so much more.

their beta testers were uni students so I’d assume they’re going to build for those users first and then see who else adopts it. I don’t think you’re wrong though

Seems like a bad bet considering that market has no clue that Dia exists. The people who know it exists are the former group.

they’re not targeting people who are up to date with the latest models, agentic commerce and vibe coding. they’re building something for the rest of the world who just want to reply to emails faster and summarise YouTube videos
