There are more than 300 million Earth-like planets in our galaxy alone, now think about this, the universe itself has over 2 trillion galaxies. There are more planets just like earth or even better than all the grains of sands on all the beach of the Earth but they’re all so far away. The nearest Exoplanet to Earth (Exoplanet means a planet outside our solar system) is 4.24 light years away, meaning you would need to travel 40 trillion kilometers to get there. If we used our fastest spacecraft today, it would take us 6,300 years to reach Proxima b and maybe that’s the answer to our biggest question “are we alone”, it’s highly improbable that we are alone because the earth itself isn’t so special in the grand scheme of it all.
