This was a situation in a game I just played (I am black). Can you spot the tactic for black that leads to winning a bunch of material?

The start is good but aim for MOAR material! 😁

ah is it Ba1 threatening mate, Qa2 only defense, Nc3 fork?

Ok this is good! My original idea when playing Bb2+ was also to then go Ba1 and threaten checkmate. But I saw then that this can be countered with Bd4 so I found a different move after Bb2+. You basically found it already, what happens if you play Nc3 instead of Ba1?

right tbh I didn't spot the Bd4 defense to Ba1 so let's say Ba1, Bd4, then the queen can jump with check Qf4+ the rook cannot block on d2 because of the double attack with the queen and the knight

so the king slides to b1 (only square because of the bishop on a1) now maybe the knight can jump to d2 with royal fork and win a rook? so i guess im starting to prefer Nd2 over Nc3
