Joelle’s artistic path began in fashion. In 2000, she studied fashion design and went on to work as a designer and special effects makeup artist for over a decade. Her journey took a turn into finance, where she pursued business school and worked as a financial advisor. 

During a medical leave, she discovered photography—what began as a creative outlet soon transformed into a deep calling, leading her to craft refined works of fine art nature photography.

Her fascination with the cosmos brought her into astrophotography, where she began capturing scenes few people ever witness firsthand. Signature pieces like "Awakening," "Transcendence," and "Alternative Reality" emerged from this passion.

Since entering the NFT space in July 2021, Joelle has built a strong presence in the digital art world. Her work has been showcased by respected platforms and exhibitions including TimePieces, Art Basel, NFT NYC, 0xSociety, and Light Art Collective. 

In early 2023, she expanded her creative repertoire into AI art, which culminated with the recent launch of her project @toveskargard (the world’s first autonomous AI-generated artist) on Base and Eth (Manifold), reflecting her interest in the evolving potential of art and technology.
