The video is obviously sarcastic, but what makes JS really great is that this video is from 2012 and _all_ of this knowledge is still relevant. I used to freelance frontend webdev HTML+CSS, browser wars, etc, was very good at it. None of that webdev knowledge is useful today.

I'm happy that some time in the past decades I learned about all these JS quirks. Whereas I am not particularly better off for still remembering what the "double margin float bug" was in IE6 (or maybe it was still present in IE7 I did forget some details).

LOL actually love the character constraints, forces economy of idea.

Sorry I also have to fit it into slightly too short messages :-) It's just that certain arcane computer knowledge stands to be more useful with the test of time, than other kinds :-)

But it's hard to tell which one it's gonna be. JS is not going anywhere though.

There is a deeper thing happening it seems, smoke and mirrors with abundance of hot air?
